First sale of 2014!

I'm looking forward to the first craft sale of 2014! I've been accepted to "Point Douglas is for Lovers" on February 8th from 12 to 4 at Grace Point Church - 137 Euclid. This sale is shaping up to be a very unique one . . . something tells me it will be similar to "This Ain't Your Grandma's Craft Sale" from back-in-the-day (which I adored!).

My nephew arrived safe and sound last week and luckily all the woodland animals were ready to go! Can't wait to see them installed in the nursery!

Woodland Nursery

We are super excited to be welcoming a new addition into our family! My sister is expecting a 2nd baby in the next few weeks. With her first, I offered to help decorate the nursery (a monster theme), so it's only fair to do the same with the 2nd on the way! My sister chose a woodland animal theme this time around. She is creating lots of wall art, and our mom is making a quilt. I have been busy making 5 woodland animals for the wall of the nursery. Here is a sneak peek:

Fresh snow brings the feeling of Christmas . . . and craft sales!

Last Saturday, I participated in Calvin Christian's Christmas Craft Sale. It was so weird to not see any snow at all! Then, poof! We woke up on Sunday to a fresh blanket of snow! NOW, it feels that Christmas is on the way!

I am looking forward to 3 upcoming sales: Tuxedo Community Centre from 10 to 3 on Sunday, December 1st, Miles Mac Collegiate on Saturday, December 7th from 10 to 3. And I just signed up for another one taking place at Canadinns Club Regent on Sunday, December 15th from 10 to 4. Handmade gifts are so awesome to share with loved ones! Enjoy the holiday season!

Summer's here!

Wow! I can't believe we're about to head into the August long weekend! As usual, I will be out at the Icelandic Festival in Gimli on Saturday, Sunday and Monday (August 4th to 6th). I have been a usual participant at Pineridge Hollow's Farmer's Market on Saturdays from 9 to 1. And, I tried out the Downtown Biz Farmer's Market earlier in July. It was fabulous! What a unique atmosphere for a market . . . in the middle of downtown Winnipeg with firetrucks flying by!You can find me near the Hydro Building on Thursdays - August 8, 15, and 22 from 11:30 to 5:30. I will be out at Pineridge Hollow on Saturdays from 9 to 1 on August 17, 31, September 7 and 14. Come by and say hi!

Let it Snow!

Well this weekend we got our first snowfall! And with it, craft season is just around the corner! I am booked for 3 sales so far. The first one is this week . . . Saturday, November 17th at Calvin Christian School from 10 to 3. I've never tried it, but have heard great things about it! The 2nd one is at Miles Mac Collegiate on Saturday, December 1st from 10 to 3. I have been participating in this one for several years now! And finally, I'm trying out Tuxedo Community Centre's Holiday Craft Sale on Sunday, December 2nd from 10 to 3. Craft sales are a wonderful place to find something unique for everyone on your shopping list!

Summer Sales!

School's out, that means that the farmer's market season is here! I started back at Pineridge Hollow's Farmer's Market on June 30. It is a wonderful market, just north of the city, by Bird's Hill Park. Everyone is so friendly and there is such variety in the products! If you haven't been, it's definitely worth checking out! The market runs every Saturday from 9 to 1 until September 15th. However, I will be out there this Saturday (July 7th), and then I will not be back until August 11th, as I'm going to ITALY to take a glassblowing course! Be sure to make the drive out to the Icelandic Festival in Gimli on the August long weekend (August 4,5,6). I am usually set up by the pier on the Saturday and Sunday, and then in the park on the Monday. Hope you have a fantastic summer!

The Monster Mash!

I've been busy working on these cute monsters for my future "niecephew". I'm hoping to have my sister put them up on the wall of her nursery; which is a monster theme! My mom has made a beautiful quilt, and my sister has been making adorable wall art with the alphabet with unique monsters on each block. All we need now is the baby!

I'm thinking these would be pretty cute as pins!
